A wining formula? Why do they want to whine? Lol, enough spelling nazi.
I think they already have done everything you said, just not in one commercial. I have a feeling combining it all in one would make it run too long for a standard commercial, but could be used in big sporting events or movie theaters. And I guess it all relies on the price-cut, because without it your ad would still say "$399" and not help all that much.
If it did work, though, then I'm afraid we'd see a shootout of "features" ads from both MS and Sony with MS showing netflix, facebook, last.fm, windows media center, etc etc.
