Then people that want to buy new games come to the store, and see the cheaper used version, and buy that.
It does much more harm then good, and developers will be the first to tell you that.

Not so, If you want a game whn it first comes out, you buy itm then you play it, either you get tired of it, or find out it isn't all that great, either way, you sell it. you use the money to buy the next big game that comes out. you couldn;t do that if nobody bought used games.
|
I know. But if people couldn't buy used games, many would be forced to buy new games, and that would easily make up for the people like you.

Sure, they could be forced to buy new games. Or maybe they'll decide that paying $60 for 8 hour games isn't worth it (on top of a console for hundreds of dollars) and just stop playing games. I'm thinking someone who stops playing games permanently hurts the industry a lot more than people who buy used games once in a while.

That's to be expected. I won't make a long post explaining myself, because I don't even want a situation like this to ever take place, but I have a hard time seeing the industry being hurt by people who weren't contributing to it in the first place.
