This is seriously a gay argument. This is like two rodents arguing which one smells the worst.
Guess what? If you play video games, you are a gamer. If you take that game seriously, then you are hardcore. If you play it without any vesting interest in success, then you are playing it casually. People can play Gears of War casually if they so choose, or Halo, or Killzone, or any other "hardcore" game.
It isn't rocket science people.
Years of lurking around the WoW forums (and no, they are not a happy place to be in), taught that to me. I think the word is used their every two seconds.
