Why when talking JRPG we forget about pokemon?

Anyway, Game Freak and The Pokemon Company aren't Japanese.  They're owned by Nintendo, but so is Retro Studios.  The only Japanese-made Pokemon... thing... is the show.

Game Freak is so Japanese. At least, according to wiki
