That kind of goes against the idea of a secret ballot.

From what I remember when I got my license, it was an option.  I think I could have passed up on the option to register to vote, but it was conveinent so I went ahead and did it.  You can always register to vote at a seperate time/location of your choosing.

Haha, no it's not like that at all.  The only thing you need to say is which party you would like to be affiliated with (Democrat, Republican, Independent, etc) and that's it.
