Retail outlets are expensive to maintain and operate, but they have a great benefit of provide an outlet and face of the brand to promote a “cult” of personality for a product line. Every time I’m in an area with an Apple Store, I’m pulled to it, like a moth to a flame! A branded retail outlet, with some R&D gadget, like that HUGE table would probably be a big hit. M$ is launching a pretty broad offensive against all challengers, from Google to Apple, and that's a good thing for consumers. I remember when the Zune was launched, Apple immediately dropped it's prices $50 for the iPods to ensure it could keep it's competetive advantage...I know, since I'd jsut dropped $399 for it 32 days before, and missed out on my 50 BUCKS!
