Well seeing that PSP Go is the ace in the hole right now, I'd say a lot depends on that. But releasing your big new thing at $250 when gaming is already showing expensive is not better... may not be the best idea. Doubt that will cause more people to go buy a PSP 3000 either. Especially with DSi and DS Lite still on the market and the brand appeal.
I think PSP will have sold well by the end of its life cycle but 100 million well is pushing it.
