The mods warn people for minor offenses, ban for major and/or repeated offenses. It's not a tough job, and you gain a lot of glory from it. You're already a star on the forums (much like I was), so if you become a mod, you'll be a superstar (much like I was, again). Young girls who dream of being moderators on internet forums will be inspired by your role in this site.
Plus, you're nice, calm tempered, active, and devoted to the site. You've got it all.
Heck, I became a mod, and I was like 2 or 3 of those things.
