Oh great, I think I break number four half the time I see my girlfriend.

That's only really valid when you are first starting to date her.   Once you are deep into a relationship this is an OK question to ask.  In fact all of these seem targeted towards the first few dates.   I doubt anyone already in a relationship would even considering asking question number 1.

The article got it wrong though. Most women don't care about some strong, decision making, tobacco chewing, coal mining man. They just don't want to make decisions, because people in general don't. I don't want to decide where to eat on a Saturday night, I just want to eat somewhere good.

Still, doesn't that mean that you are still the one making the decision? I know I do now when I ask a girl out, I have pre-set where we will be eating and what we will be doing. If she doesn't like it, then she can decide. Honestly, the "I don't wanna eat here... but I don't know where else to go" is a complete turn-off. Better be dominant then and be that decision maker.

The mistake I still have to watch for is the "planning ahead" thing. I tend to be unsubtle when it comes to interest in future dates :D.
