I think there is a possibility for Sega to come back next gen. This gen they've probably watched and learned from the current 3, as well as done a wonderful job as a game dev/publisher.
I've said it before, Sega Dreamcast 2 with Skies of Arcadia 2, Valkyria Chronicles 2, new Shen mue, and a non-sucking-Sonic game + many, many more is coming.
