It wont get as good support as the PS2 because hardly anyone expected it to be a success, plus many devs prefer to put their "big" games on consoles with better hardware. Wii gets good 3rd party support , definately better then in the Era of N64 or the GC.
Majority of Japanese devs realised mistakes they made and started developing for it. DQ X, MH Tri, Tales of Graces, FF:CB are just examples of those "BIG" third party games that Wii was lacking in last few years.
And if some Western Devs dont want it to support it, its their business decision, but some of them put a lot of effort into their Wii multiplat titles; Tiger Woods, Madden, Smackdown vs Raw or PES are exceptionally good for example.
Wii is my favourite console simply because it has Ninty first party titles. If a third party dev wants sales like Nintendo titles get they need to make a big title like those on HD consoles, only titles with big budget and a lot of production value tend to be selling milions.
