Random Battles don't make the game unplayable but they are really annoying. I played Digital Devil Saga recently and i gotta say it has one of the highest encounter rates ive ever seen in a game. Evey like 3-4 steps an enemy appears its so annoying especially when ur trying to figure out where to go in the dungeon. The game was great though but i can see why ppl dont like random battles.
