| SaviorX said: No, I didn't like Eternal Darkness. The story was unengaging and I didn't find interest in it. The gameplay was pretty boring as well. The combat was archaic to say the least and I didn't find myself in awe or enjoyment of anything. I finished it because I didn't want my money to go to waste, but after I did complete it, I left it abandoned in a cardboard box, never to be used again. People kept going on about how great it was but I found it boring and uninspiring. Nostalgia of that 2002 game is blurring their vision because besides the Sanity effects, it was pointless for me to play. I could've bought something else with my $10, so yes it seriously was not worth it. |
Don't mistake people having fun with a game you found un-fun as "nostalgia [...] blurring their vision". I played Eternal Darkness again a few weeks ago and it was still fantastic. I don't take issue with you not liking it, we all have different tastes, but don't go so far as to call my taste into question.
