CGI Quality: "How come Microsoft and Nintendo's issues get overlooked but Sony is the Devil?"

horseshit! go to n4g or even here at vgc and youl see ps3 fanboys treating sony as God and Microsoft and nintendo as the devil.

Since you failed to read through the entire thread, obviously, let me spell it out for you: IT WAS ADDRESSES TO ONE PERSON...

There, that should do the trick, and btw we're on VG Chartz, not N4G.

Seeing as how you express constant bashing and negativity, I doubt you're the right person to be discussing a Sony issue with

Oh you don't even know me.  look at my earlier posts like I told you. That aside, there's nothing positive to say about how Sony handled the PS3 this gen. First off, they lied about the PS3, touting it as the strongest console out there and etc. The final product didn't have all the things Sony promised.

Sony's arrogance/marketing/PS3's pricing drove away a lot of third party support, as well as consumers. By looking at some of the PR statements such as "5 million people will buy it even if it didn't have games" just shows you how arrogant they were. They were just relying on brand recognition, and I suppose third party devs, hoping they would be loyal to them. What happens? A lot of the games announced disappeared or went multiplatform. I'm glad this taught Sony a lesson. They were forced to make games on their own instead of relying on third party.

Then you have PS3's advertisement which were really terrible. There was the floating baby one, and some retails were advertising it as a blu-ray player. Another thing was the multiple SKUs. I remember Sony saying they weren't going to go the way of multiple SKUs like Microsoft's because it would confuse the customers. Next thing you know, Sony releases the 60 GB, 20GB an 80GB (one with BC and one without it), 160GB and the 40GB which was short lived thanks to the mandatory installs because of the blu-ray's slow drive.

Nintendo's PR was pretty bad back in the day, but they redeemed themselves. I haven't seen anything bad from them as of late, and how can I hate them now? They made the DS - best handheld ever. The original Xbox was terrible; I owned it and rarely played it. This gen, Microsoft won my heart by having a healthy relationship with third party devs and providing excellent games/service. The RROD was bad, but at least they gave out a 3 year warranty for it. Sony were sued for the PS2's disk read error.

That said, I can appreciate Sony like the others, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. Maybe next gen. I loved Sony and PlayStation brand. Sony gave me years, if not a decade of entertainment in which they earned my respect, but they lost it this gen.
