A lot of win if you ask me...
- Zune HD --> pretty impressive hardware. It won't beat the iPod touch, but that would just be too much to ask for. But it could be the number 2 on the market. With the Zune marketplace available for the Xbox360 and other MP3-players as well, this thing could be good.
In a word: success, but not outstanding - Silverlight 3 --> I am not a designer / programmer or whatever. I just saw the demo of the streaming-tech and this was just amazing. With VoD getting bigger and bigger, this is definately something that will be big. I can see different companies that offers VoD using this tech (Amazon.com, Apple, Sony, etc) I haven't seen anything like this before. Youtube.com using this would be awesome, but that is just speculation. I have no idea how this could influence webdesigns etc. I just love the streaming-tech.
In a word: success! - Office 2010 --> Well it probably will sell well, but the recession might hit MS pretty hard. Big IT-investments getting delayed by a lot of companies might be a problem. But after this recession, MS (or other IT-companies like Intel, AMD, IBM etc) will see a huge boost. The tech evolved and a lot of companies wanna catch up. That is my guess.
In a word: depending on world economy - Windows 7 --> Pretty much like Office 2010. But I think tons of people want to get rid off vista or finally upgrade from XP. The first impressions are awesome, so I see this doing really well
In a word: success! - Azure --> No idea. Never even heard about it.
- Natal --> At first I did not want a motion controller for the Xbox360, but the way Natal worked really made a great impression. The media picked this up like crazy and people are hyped for this. With a smart advertising campaign, I can see this be a great success.
In a word: success, if advertised well. - Streaming music service --> no idea, but very hard for a portable device, right? You can't stream everywhere you go?! So no idea.
- New Xbox360 dashboard --> This is nothing HUGE, but it is quite something. MS did a good job to secure those social networks, since those are the perfect platforms to promote the Xbox360 console. Word of mouth on social networks might be full of win. Furthermore this is just a great addition for every Xbox360 owner.
In a word: Easy success. - Windows Mobile --> I have to say I really love my windows mobile. It offers a lot of great things, but the bad point is, that it is poorly designed. Some things could be a lot of better with very few changes. But we do not know anything, I have no idea. MS needs to secure manufactures to use this.
In a word: No idea / depending on manufactures.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
