WHY DID MICROSOFT ENTER THE CONSOLE RACE?

yeah, MS doesn't have a monopoly dude...not even a virtual one. They have something that closely resembles one. Now, what they are doing is just smart business. Sony does it, Nintendo does it...everybody does it to some degree, it's called competition, and it's good for us, the consumer.
