I don't give a damn about official licenses. In fact, I think official licenses are a barrier to fun sports games, because they take money which could be spent on programming and QA and hand it over to athletes and the people who market them. They also tie release dates to the start of a new season, whether the game is ready or not.
So if EA can make a MMA game with more fun or more content than THQ's licensed game, more power to them.
