In fact, surprisingly, one of the first titles to use tessellation was Viva Pinata(http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/video/display/20090317153802_ATI_to_Promote_DirectX_11_Usage_at_Game_Developer_Conference.html). Which in turn means Viva Pinata 2 and Banjo N&B use the technology. Rumor has it that Turn 10 has used it for Forza 3 as well. |
i find that strange since, direct x doesn't support extensions, especially 360 which doesn't support installs.
if it's really directX11 tech then unless they rewrite it and make part of DirectXbox wch
it's possible, but this is done to produce only higher polygons models, up to 5k-30k doing a bit more polish models, but good practice programming can alivite problems like that.
looks how polish are uncharted 2 models, with good optimization the same thing can be done.
