I still finished but i agree it slowed at about 70 stars. I figured the game was drop dead amazing up untill then though so a little repetition towards the end is forgivable.
btw, listening to soundtrack. Toytime Galaxy is the best track, followed by Buoy Base and Gusty Garden.

Definitely agree, I also like the Kingfin boss music when you get close to him and the drum beat kicks in.
