| Zkuq said: CryEngine 2 is the best engine available, and CryEngine 3 will be the best engine when it gets released, unless it's completely dumbed down because of consoles (which I don't believe right now, though I don't think it's impossible either). Also, the list should be more specific about Unreal Engine. There's more than just one version of it. As far as I know, there's at least Unreal Engine, Unreal Engine 2, Unreal Engine 2.5, and Unreal Engine 3. And I'm not completely sure how much they're related to each other. Still, I'm sure they're referring to Unreal Engine 3. |
CryEngine 3 is an upgrade in every possible way over 2. It is just compatiable with the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
Oh and that Tec Demo somebody showed of Cry Engine 3, that was running on Xbox 360 hardware and some scenes on the Playstation 3.
I'll link everybody to a better video, it tells you which scene is being ran on which console. Can't wait to see what they do with Crysis 2 on consoles

It will be interesting to see it running on a top of the range PC.
