@Khuutra: Very true. I actually discussed this very topic with the individual that I quoted. The laws were made after somebody did these things. It's just that a lot of them don't apply today. And some of them are simply dumb. With that said, here's some dumb NY laws:
Donkeys are not allowed to sleep in bathtubs in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Citizens may not greet each other by “putting one’s thumb to the nose and wiggling the fingers”.
The penalty for jumping off a building is death.
New Yorkers cannot dissolve a marriage for irreconcilable differences, unless they both agree to it. Lmao! This one is priceless.
A person may not walk around on Sundays with an ice cream cone in his/her pocket.
