Is a 3-D VR helmet peripheral a realistic possibility end of next gen?

exactly Nintendo has the capability to give the real stron push and then ms and sony can follow along maybe with higher graphical power while nintendo gives it the real push with legendary games just like it did with wii

nintendo gave motion control the push and now ms and sony follow along with more sphosticated motion controller

 

It really seems that some companies that were at the forefront of VR were all on the edge of going out of business while they were developing their products. Real funding seems to be necessary to get it right.
