Belive it or not, yes. Try playing them once in awhile instead of making absumptions on things you know nothing about.

Gears story is told alot slower then most. Number one's story wasn't that great but it was just the basic foundation for Gears of War 2 which was more interesting, be it abit. Gears of War 3 will be more interesting.
Epic have never been one for stories, play Unreal Tournament 3 for a perfect example. It goes al ittle like this, Slayer, CTF, VCTF, WAREFARE, SLAYER, TDM, DUEL, WARFARE, SLAYER, CTF, VCTF, SLAYER, DUEL, TDM, WARFARE,WARFARE, CTF, VCTF, etc.
