Bang on with that there. If it offends a minority is wont be allowed as people may think they are being discriminated against. Its not just in this instance but in many.
Im not religious in the slightest but i understand people have beliefs different to mine and i will respect those as long as they dont infringe on me. How anyone can be offended by someone wearing a shirt with I love Jesus on is beyond me. I certainly doubt atheists are oppose to this.
In away though praying to God to thank him could offend the opposition, If they have religious feelings then they might think well why did God make them win and not us, it does seem strange to me that anyone would really care about some people praying though. Although i doubt theres many more nations that have players more religious than Brazilians.
