Why Do People Like Disney So Much?

im 20, and i like anime and The Simpsons/Futurama, so its not my age or lack of open mindedness to cartoons or animation

i just dont get the appeal of watching a dull adaptation of some fairy tale or something, the characthers and plots in the films also seem contrived to me.

Every 20 year old likes Futurama and anime. Hell, I do. But for me, I still don't like most animated movies. And even though you like some cartoons, it doesn't mean you're going to like others.

And don't over-analyze the movies either. Who cares if you find the characters contrived? That's true for almost any anime/cartoon anyways.

thats true i guess, but i just find disney characthers particurlarly annoying, moreso than in other cartoons, i also find the songs irritating, they seem to put songs in just for the sake of it at times, and they irritate the frak out of me. most of the plots also seem too transparent to me, again this is something i notice more in thre films than other stuff i watch which is why i mention it
