I'm going with Bayonetta from what I have seen. The combo-system in the game looks awesome while Dante's seem to be too one-sided. I think it will suffer from the InFamous symptom - lots of potential powers but in the end only one will be used. The insane amount of combo's in bayonetta which you can hardly evade is much more enjoyable to me then.
As for style, well... atmosphere is good and all but if I want that I'd go to the park or take a vacation or hang out in a bar. I play videogames to have fun and in the case of hack n slash that means eviscerating my enemies not just as bloody as possible but also to do it in a variety of comical matters.
Side note, the best Hack N slash I have every played was definatly Severance: blade of darkness around the year 2000 and it has not been surpassed yet for me. I have not witnessed one other slasher where you could behead an enemy and then use that head to bash in the head of your next opponent. And orcs would actually react to limbs falling down on top of them.
