Google's OS will be as terrible as their browser is, which is sad, because Windows needs serious competition and has none!

If their OS is as terrible as their browser, then I'll pre-order. Chrome rocks face.

It's a steaming pile of RAM-hungry garbage.

Opera >>> Firefox > IE8 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Chrome

I'm sorry, but I like Chrome much more than IE and Firefox. My opinion from using all three. My experience with Opera was terrible, so I won't ever be using it.

I dislike Chrome because it's almost wholly inferior to Firefox.

  • Lack of options.  I can tweak so many more general settings in both Firefox and Internet Explorer than I can in Chrome.
  • Sortable History (ala Firefox).  I love sorting my history by website and date.  It's just amazingly useful and Chrome doesn't do it.
  • Ad-Blocking Plugins (ala Firefox and IE).  I don't like seeing ads and running all my traffic through a special proxy is barbaric.
  • Customization (ala Firefox).  In Firefox, I can tweak webpages to look however I like, I can write javascript to ignore you, and I can modify just about anything else about my web surfing experience.  Chrome has nothing on that.
  • Crashes more often.  I've noticed that the vgC IM will crash in Chrome every so often but works fine in Firefox.
  • Downloads work better (in Firefox).  Open in containing folder is a beautiful option in Firefox thanks to Download Statusbar.
  • Email checking (in Firefox).  I can see my emails as they come in from just about any account right in my browser.
  • Session saving/tab saving.  In Chrome, I can bookmark a tab.  In Firefox, I can bookmark a tab, a group, save my entire session, and look at entire sessions from the past, and more.

Still, all I want to see is the OS market get better.  I, as a consumer, want a better OS.  If more competition will give that to me then I welcome it.
