Im sorry, even Google won't hold a candle to MS here. We have seen how aggressive MS is in the console wars this gen and we have seen them take some steep measures to get ahead of Sony (rock bottom prices, rushing and RROD).
Now, this is their historic, central and most profitable business by a mile. Imagine what they will do if they are under a little threat.
Also this fight is working both ways. Anyone heard of Bing?
