i.e. Xenosaga, Beyond Good & Evil, Assassin's Creed, Halo, Gears of War, Mirror's Edge, Xenogears, Heavenly Sword, etc.

so you have played the sequels to these games, and know that their stories are not as good as the originals?

I am not saying that, I am just saying that developers like to plan an entire franchise before the first game comes out.
