Honestly, I never realized how awesome it is until I finally got a PSP and had a chance to try it out. You basically bring up your ps3's entire XMB up on the screen of your PSP, and you can do this from any location with wi-fi.  After that, you do what you want.

One of my boss' friends used his PSP to access his PS Eye through his ps3 so he could spy on his wife while at the manager's conference last September.  xD
