im sure the same statistic could be thrown up for any console, I bought a PS2 early on and due to its lack of software i hardly touched it in between finishing ICO and the launch of MGS2.
I also bought my DS with Warioware and again, once i completed that i didnt touch the machine for a good length of time.
Another example would be the PSP, bought it, played Hotshots gold and lumines, but in this case i never picked it up again.
