Nope not the case. By reducing its overhead by reducing support for the PS3 they can increase profitability on the remaining areas of the business. The threat is aimed at future support not current so games like Modern Warfare 2 would be unaffected but 3 may be in question.
The only thing in my mind that makes this empty is the fact that Sony will likely be forced to make a price cut regardless of what Activision or others say. The problem Sony have is third parties attempting to dictate its business model which I read as a sign of weakness.
