*facepalm* It was established way back in the original (now locked because of length) Brawl thread that those are actual the actual character models used in game.

Don't make me laugh...  It might be the ingame polygon model but the picture is pre-rendered on the PC therefore not in-game. With 16x Anti-Aliasing and a much higher resolution texture and real fur rendering.

No, seriously.  We had a 5 page argument about it with someone as adamant as you, and then someone cleared it up.  I forget who; I think it was twesterm.  Let me show you some pics of Link to show you what I mean (DK pics are impossible to find):

There's absolutely no difference between the two Links.  They're just as detailed, just as crisp.
