i'm atheist, yet i believe in ghosts since i've personaly seing some, but i believe them not to be a persons soul, but a manifestation of the persons aura(electromagnetic field) probably caused by a irregularity in the areas magnetic field or one of the present persons, also when one dies in extreme situation(of joy or pain) it is more possible to manifest as a apparition, since the body releases more electric impulses this way.
