I agree with digitalentourage. Of course the world prefers the DS, heck all my 2 nephews want is Pokemon games, they're 6 and 8.
There will always be MORE casual gamers than hardcore gamers like us. They're just 2 different beasts right now, each game dev basically chooses its target now. Look at madworld sales on Wii, they're not exactly stellar... A hardcore game on a casual console doesn't work that much. I would have bought Madworld on PS3.
There are STILL games like Zelda on Wii and they sell, and there are STILL hardcore gamers on Wii / DS. Are they the majority ? No, definitely not.
50 million PSP consoles sold is not bad at all, it's a huge number after all. That's still a great result. But beating DS ? I don't think so.
Anyway, I'm buying a PSP Go day one. I don't know if it will work in sales, but I know I like its portability...
