The Paint Gun was an add-on so it may or may not make it into the PSP version, but if it does maybe it will have an auto-aim feature and that may eliminate the need for the second stick.
I havent heard they are dropping the lives system, I dont think that will be a good idea.
PSP already has an optional separate camera, so it is possible.
