This confirms MSG4's multiplat status. Why else would they need so many developers for one game unless some of them were working on a 360 port?

You should read this:

Programming detailed car models on the PS3 is a ridiculously time-consuming process. "For Gran Turismo 1, one car was one day's work for one man," Yamauchi said. "For GT3, one car was one man's work for 30 days. For GT5, one car is one man's work for 180 days."

I can't find it anymore but I am pretty sure that their are more than 100 maybe 200 devs
working at GT5.

I understand that they need a lot of Devs for MGS4.

I can really see why the DS and PSP are getting so much support. Their costs are reportedly around $300-400k and $1-2 million respectively. That's bargain basement, and have a much higher chance of turning a profit, even with their lower price tags ($30-$40 for both systems now)

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
