2009!! Year of the PS3!!

these are 2009 alone, with the possibility of GT5.. but not a promise.
FF13 will surely push massive hardware sales in japan.

2 games that are exclusive and will be an AAA-game - Killzone2 and Uncharted2.

• InFamous (decent, nothing more and it won't be a huge success saleswise)
• Yakuza 3 (is this confirmed to be released this year in NA/Europe?) never got great ratings
• FF XIII is multiplat
• Ratchet and Clank... well... the 3rd game on the PS3 already. This won't do anything. The latest on the PS3 scored at 76 on metacritic.
• MAG (we will see)

 

On the other hand we have:

• Wii Fit plus (incredible sales incoming!)
• Super Mario Galaxy 2 (just like Wii Fit plus + great metacritic score)
• Super Mario Bros II - or whatever the title was :D (again great sales + great metacritic score)
• Metroid: Other M
• Wii Sports Resort (endless sales!)
• Monster Hunter 3
• The Conduit
• Madworld

And on the other other hand we have:

• Splinter Cell Conviction (>2 million and probably AAA-game)
• Forza Motorsports 3 (> 2 million and AAA-game)
• Halo ODST (> 5 million and AAA)
• Left 4 Dead 2 (> 1.5 million)
• Magna Carta II / Star Ocean IV (I even make this count as one game)
• Halo Wars
• Risen
• Lips No. 1 Hits

To be honest, I think this year is NOT the year of the PS3. This seems to be the weakest lineup of games of all 3 consoles. Wii / Xbox360 software sales will be awesome. The PS3 has not one single game that could get close the level of sales Halo ODST or Super Mario Galaxy 2 will see. Quality is a matter of taste though.
