NXE was an incredible upgrade and is immensely popular with the fabulous Xbox Live community.

If Sony are smart they should copy the NXE interface immediately.

But then we'll have to deal with xbox fanboys saying "Sony copies Microsoft!" and who wants to deal with that?

Honestly, XMB works for the PS3, it worked enough to make Microsoft question the blade system so I don't see why it's that big of a deal.

I don't think the XMB was the reason behind the NXE....

I don't think it was the main reason but the blades were confusing as hell and then Sony comes along with XMB that won an award and then Microsoft has to reconsider the way it was set up. I dunno. I just don't see them bothering change it if XMB would have been terrible.

I can see your point about the emmy...Almost...

But the Blades were atually closer to the XMB....The NXE was built to introduce Avatars...And is much more better than the Blades...As to the XMB vx NXE debators.....Errmmmm....is there a point to compare?

I'm not saying that they copied the NXE. I'm saying that XMB was a reason to switch up the blades. I'm not trying to compare NXE with XMB but this thread is saying that Sony need to create an NXE, which I don't see as an issue since it works for Sony and Sony fans. It's more along the lines of XMB made MS become more creative with their interface.

I doubt it did...The XMB was out for a long time...I'm sure MS noticed back then

Not that long.....2 years isn't that long when it comes to R&D and then implimenting the idea. XMB was out late 2006...NXE was announced mid-2008 at E3. They had probably been physically working on it for a while before it was even announced.

The PSP is not 2 years old....
