It gets weirder and weirder. From Greenpeace's FAQ:

Why does Nintendo with the most energy efficient game console score zero on energy efficiency?

Nintendo has the most energy efficient console when compared with Sony’s Playstation or Microsoft’s Xbox. However, no game console meets the Energy Star standard for PCs (v.4.0) the standard used also for game consoles.

How does that warrant a score of zero?

I know it's weird, but basically the logic seems to be that you get points for getting certified as meeting the requirements of public Energy standards.

No public policy or certification= zero points, evidence of broken policy= negative points.

Take the whole thing for what it is, really... more a guide to the company with the greener PR office. Still, more transparency on environmental issues would be good thus I welcome even this weird initiative.
