i think it was shigeru who said it that we've actually reached a graphics plateau.. i tend to believe that. as far as the next gen goes, i don't think it'll be a substantial difference from this gen. games are already costing millions and millions of bucks, with a whole lot of studios closing down. i don't believe they'll risk making games that cost more just to make it look a little better.
