Well personally I would go with sony, their tvs have a little chip inside them to make the picture as good as possible, and if you spend enough you can get one with all the bells and whistles which seriously kick arse!.
One tv thats caught my eye recently is the new Samsung/Sony OLED tvs they are so sexy, and the picture looks incredible! over here in the uk though they are about £2,999.99 so i wont be getting one anytime soon! the sony one is mega thin too. But yeah just go with one that you like the look of, but I would make sure that its at least 100hz and has 24p true cinema. Dynamic contrast is good too.
