I hear that LG and Samsung make the best LCD's out there. I would try those out or look into those at least for your PS3. I'm using a Best Buy brand HDTV: Insignia and I'm actually loving this HDTV. Had it for about 2 years and its running strong and not aging at all. It runs up to 1080i but I have it on 720p.
