I personally recommend a plasma HDTV, Panasonic and Pioneer are great that's just me...although if your still inclined to get an LCD, then spend big money to get something decent and comparable to the picture quality of the Panasonic and Pioneer Plasma sets....after all you buy a TV for it's image quality since you'll be seeing stuff on it...so with that in mind buy a good TV and it'll last you for the foreseeable future.
