Me and my dad just picked up a pair of these for our PCs:

LG 1080p monitors with a 2ms response time and 50,000:1 contrast ratio. They have VGA, DVI, and HDMI inputs for only $229 (you can also get one with a matter finish for $219). Excellent bang for your buck.

Granted, they have no speakers, but you could probably buy one of these for your PC and run your ps3 through that, thus using the PC speakers as speakers for your ps3.

If you have the money to invest in somethign larger scale, I'd definitely go with a Bravia like your brother or a Samsung HDTV.

lol, no way!

I was considering picking one of those up when I get some money, but I haven't seen that many reviews on it. There's one that looks similar on newegg, but it's a different model number so I'm a little unsure about it even though it has some good user reviews. I went to Best Buy to check it out on display and it looked nice, but it's difficult to really tell if I like it or not based soley on their crappy demo video reel.

I think I have sensitive eyes and I'm looking at this monitor for it's low response time and such to replace my monster 19" CRT and I don't want to strain my eyes and such. How is it? Also, can you run lower resolutions on an LCD monitor for your PC or do you have to run it on it's native resolution?

You can probably use this to connect the PS3 to PC speakers.
