If you care about gameplay, the main point of games, Vesperia is the better game.

Hey, not everyone prefer action RPGs.

You're right. Some people prefer RPGs with no action, and for that, I understand.

I like turn based battles more too, but we're talking about a combat system that's beaten by decade old games.

No, Tales is an action RPG whereas LO is a turn based. You didn't need to say that it has no action, because it does.

What decade old has a much better battle system? (stressing the much better)

I know, I was being snarky. You must really think I'm an idiot if you took me that literally.

And why does the battle system have to be "much" better? I know that Lost Odyssey has a basic battle system that's beaten by older games, and I'm sure there are bigger RPG fans than me that could go on and on. I'll just start by saying that Chrono Trigger had a better battle system 13 years before Lost Odyssey. Combo attacks were a lot more fun and engaging than pressing the ring at the right time (especially since it becomes insigificant after you get to a certain level). Lost Odyssey doesn't do anything that hasn't been done by RPGs on the original Playstation. Add in the battle systems of games like Final Fantasy X-2, and I'm simply not impressed.
