^that's nice and all but...who the hell was talking about Microsoft profitabilty? I sure wasn't.... All I can take from this thread is that YOU xbots are biased (duh) and haven't even read past the title and never cared for anything else but trying to point flaws at anything I typed. But whatever, the numbers are there (sales numbers) Microsoft saved the X360's life with the cut, that's far from achieving what a mass-market priced console is suppoused to do.
If the Xbox can't be up YOY over 1 million by the end of year that's no success at all, the console is the cheapest in the market, the oldest, and its at ITS PEAK. This is the best year the 360 will EVER HAVE * you read it first here* bookmark it NOW, and it won't reach 12 millions sales WW in 2009. From this year on is all downhill for it, why? because it couldn't capitalize in its peak year with a $200 price compared to a $400 PS3 and a $250 Wii.
