Well, since both sides love pulling in silly comparisons, let me pull them all together. This should end the cost arguments... :P (Prices in US$, all items bought from Amazon)

  PS3 360 Wii
System w/ HD or SD card $400 $300 $335*
Wireless adaptor $0 $77 $0
Online play $0 $45/yr $0
Backward compatibility $100 $0 $0
Blu-ray player $0 $180 $180
Out-of-warranty repairs $230 $100 $100
Extra controller (all parts) $43 $40 $74
Speech attachment $43 $20 $29
Motion sensing/control $32+** n/a** $0
HDTV (40" 1080P) $680 $680 $780***
TOTAL $1528 $1442 $1498

Right... so how can most people afford gaming, anyway? Maybe this is why sales for the "other" system are so bad , and why Wii is doomed?

*: 32 GB SD card included with price

**: PS3 Wand and 360 Natal prices not availiable, not yet released.

***: Upscaler purchased elsewhere (www.hdtvsupply.com), due to limited availiability

You forgot to include HD cables. Sony touted the PS3 as having "True HD" out of the box with its blu-ray, and they didn't include the HD cables.
