Worth noting that even the PS3 breaks down and it is debatable whether your machine would break down past 3 yrs as it is probably statisically more likely to break down earlier on with the RROD issue. Of course if you purchase a machine today then it is even more unlikely.

I never understand the clamour for wireless in a gamer as my experience has been it is totally unreliable and subject to much fluctuation. It is for that reason I moved to the Homeplug method giving me flexibility and a reliable connection. In my scenario I would rather of had the money spent on a Homeplug than a Wifi adapter which is my main reason for opting for the 360, choice.

That said I cannot go against your concerns with the RROD issue in the early days at least I would take humbrage to that now though. That said Microsoft did the right thing for most people and it became a non issue but that does not mean it was not an issue as reliability is very important and it certainly cost Microsoft sales yours possibly being one of them.
