It's my understanding that you don't own a PS3 now (maybe not even a 360), so I guess it's expected for you to not be excited about those games (my bet fails lol). But I would say, generally, that those games were bigger. And sure, saleswise, none of those games, except maybe MW2, will be "bigger than" NSMBW (I'm assuming that sales is what you're judging the term "big" to be), but then....that would mean that the back catalog of all three systems have the majority of their greatest games...not "bigger" than Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games If you're not judging "big" by sales....then I don't know wtf you're talking about if things like Bioshock 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Tekken 6, Batman, etc. aren't bigger than a 2D side scroller |
I own the bejabbers out of a 360, it's just that you failed to name off games that excite me more than those previously listed!
Yes, Mario and Sonic as the Olympic Games is bigger than the vast majority of games released this generation.
And yes, I meant sales, but I expect New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Little King Story to be better than the vast majority of the games you listed, too, NSMBW in particular. I have no doubt in my mind that the ability to sit down with my wife, or with my brother, and plow through some classic Mario action, far outweighs the experiences offered by a sequel to Assassin's Creed, or Bioshock, or Tekken. Alpha Protocol is the only game I can think of that I anticipate coming close to that, and that only because of Obsidian.
But that's me.
